It appears that the romance between Britney Spears and her partner of four years, Sam Asghari, has come to an end.
Earlier this month, a court filing from Sam cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for their split - however, a source now reveals that jealousy could have been a major factor.
According to an inside source who spoke to In Touch Weekly, it appears that the personal trainer was not enthused with the "Toxic" singer's choice of pastime.
Specifically, it seemed they had a problem with her video in which she danced wearing a bikini alongside her manager, Cade Hudson.
Rumors have been circulating that a significant argument between Sam and Cade caused their split.
According to the outlet's source, things came to a head when Cade confronted Sam concerning an alleged affair.
Despite his denials, the source noted that Sam didn't believe the "Baby One More Time" hitmaker, eventually leading to her bursting into tears.
That night, their relationship ended when he was asked to leave following the revelation of mistrust between them. There was little hope for a successful relationship from the start.
On Thursday, August 17, Sam Asghari made public their intentions to divorce for the first time after submitting paperwork on Wednesday, August 6, listing July 28 as their date of separation.

In a social media statement, Sam Asghari said, "After six years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto our love and respect for each other, and I always wish her the best."
"S--- happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous [sic], so I will ask everyone, including the media, to be kind and thoughtful."
Recently, he has been residing in the luxurious Ten Thousand building between Beverly Hills and Century City neighborhoods.
A source close to the situation revealed that he is getting along with his neighbors and has recently spent a great deal of time with his sister.
Meanwhile, in a recent video post on Instagram, Britney Spears also seemed to address her new public split with actor Sam Asghari while dancing in a neon green bikini bottom, black crop top, and tall boots to the song "If" by Janet Jackson.
She expressed surprise that the news had come out but said it was ultimately "nobody's business."
"As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together ... 6 years is a long time to be with someone, so I'm a little shocked, but ... I'm not here to explain why because it's nobody's business !!!"
