Touring is commonly a part of a singer's effort to boost their music or album. For some, it is also a way to connect more with one's fans and to exercise more creative expression.

However, for Miley Cyrus, touring isn't something she is down to do anytime soon, and she revealed the reason why in an interview.

Miley Cyrus Tour Won't Happen Soon

In Miley Cyrus' Hulu special "Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions)," she spoke in detail about her plans for a Miley Cyrus tour.

Apparently, she has an "unhealthy relationship" with touring. Turns out her extensive time traveling as a cheerleader when she was younger was partly to be blamed on her decision.

"Like the show or the competition may only be for a day, but that's what most people don't understand about touring. The show may only be for 90 minutes, but that's your life," she explained.

This is her third time expressing her dislike for touring as she has already doubled down on the idea before.

"Having every day the relationship between you and other humans being subject and observer isn't healthy for me because it erases my humanity and my connection," she further elaborated. And without my humanity and my connection, I can't be a songwriter, which is my priority."

When her "Endless Summer Vacation" album dropped earlier this 2023, she shared a lengthy notes app statement saying that her decision wasn't because she did not appreciate her fans, but more of a personal choice.

Miley Cyrus Says Touring Is 'Isolating'

Cyrus notes app statement came days after she explained to British Vogue the pains of going on tour.

"I can't," she told Vogue about how touring is "not natural" and "isolating." " "Not only 'can't', because 'can't' is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else's pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?"

The last time that a Miley Cyrus tour happened was in 2022, her "Attention Tour," a tour in support of her "Plastic Hearts" album. Surprisingly, it only ran for five shows - the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest in California, the three Lollapalooza concerts in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, and the Colombian festival where Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins died.

However, the last full-length tour she had was in 2014 for the "Bangerz" Tour which saw the Disney alum trekking the world with a total of 78 shows.
