Hayley Williams finally gave fans an update regarding her health and her bout with the serious lung infection through a Discord post; she also hinted that Paramore is back in the recording studio working on some new music.

"I can hardly believe I don't cough all day and night anymore. My stomach is still **ked from 10 kinds of medication...I'm just happy to be resting more," the band's frontwoman wrote. "When I was feeling my worst, I couldn't do much but just sleep and lay around."

She went on to list all of the television series she has been watching as she rested, and also admitted that she has been on her phone "to a degree that has been, to put it nicely, disgusting."

This is the first health update fans have received from Williams after she and Paramore decided it was best to cancel the rest of their tour for her to recover and not further damage her vocal cords.

Hayley Williams' Health Scare

According to reports, Williams tried to carry on with performing in concerts despite her lung infection, which only worsened the her illness.

"After speaking with our team and my doc, I know that trying to finish this tour is now going to come at a detriment to my health," the singer wrote in early August. "My lungs are just not healing quickly enough to keep up. It got a little scary tonight.

"I'm so sorry for all the chaos this has caused some of you. I really tried to kick this s**t. Love you all," she concluded her message.

Although it seemed that Williams' health seemed pretty serious and dire, the singer and the rest of Paramore still managed to head back to the recording studio to work on new music.

Paramore New Music Coming Soon?

To cope with her illness and perhaps the boredom Williams has experienced after canceling the tour to focus on her health, she has been busy with coming up with new material.

"Zac Taylor and I just want to get back to making things. We've been craving that for a while now," she wrote in the Paramore Discord server. "Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process."

Williams shared a very short video clip of the drummer, Zac Farro, messing around with the drums in a recording studio. It seems like not even a lung infection can keep the singer down for long.
