"The Masked Singer" kicked off its milestone tenth season on Fox last Sunday, Sep. 10, 2023.
It started with the unmasking of Anonymouse, who happens to be linked to Nick Jonas, Texas, and a dinosaur.
Who is Anonymouse in 'The Masked Singer'?
Ahead of their official start on Sep. 27, 2023, "The Masked Singer" started its 10th season with a special performance from Anonymouse.
Dressed as a rock star, the rodent mascot sang a version of "What About Love?" by Heart. By the voice alone, any Demi Lovato fan could very well spot who was behind Anonymouse.
The clues were all very telling of Demi Lovato too!
According to the clues, Anonymouse revealed that she started her career at a young age but eventually had her breakthrough as a singer. Notably, Lovato started in "Barney," as the clues also show a dinosaur. It was in "Camp Rock" where she became a household name.
Eventually, she also revealed that she "struggled with demons" on the inside, a reference to her mental health problems and body dysmorphia that she faced growing up.
Images of Nick Jonas and Texas were also displayed. Lovato and Nick Jonas were best friends and Lovato grew up in Texas. In fact, the entire Rodent persona was attributed to her coming from Disney, whose main mascot is Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Another clue was that she wore a small tiara. Judge Robin Thicke thought that she might have played royalty at a show before. True enough, Lovato starred in "Princess Protection Program" with Selena Gomez.
"This is a literal, concrete clue," Anonymouse said in the show. "My acting career has cemented me as one talented mouse."
She also mentioned being hunched by the judges multiple times in the past nine seasons, which led them to think about who have they been guessing so far.

Judges Guess Who Anonymouse Is
The judges have their own guesses - Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, and even Lady Gaga.
Robin Thicke Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger recognized the voice, all agreeing it was Demi Lovato, because of the clues, while Ken Jeong thought it was Lady Gaga.
When Nick Cannon helped Anonymouse unmasked, the whole venue erupted in shock and cheer when Demi Lovato was revealed.
"I wanted to be on your show," Lovato gushed about the show, "because it seemed so fun, and it has been so fun. And I get to sing, so it's the best of both worlds."
As to what tipped the judges off, McCarthy admitted that only a "couple of people a that caliber" can sing so good and Lovato is one of them.
"The Masked Singer" starts on Sep. 27, 2023, on Fox.
