Halsey surprised fans with a new update on Instagram, but fans could not help but notice that she looks sickly and skinny.

"Not pictured," the singer began in her post. "Me splitting myself into two every day so I can give you my deepest wounds (and a handful of perfect joys) for the 5th time in 10 years."

The Instagram post also included a carousel of pictures of what Halsey's life has been like- a stunning portrait picture, a video clip of a busy street, and a snapshot of her meal, among other things.

Fans immediately took notice of the "Bad At Love" singer's cryptic caption which seems to hint that she is, in fact, working on a new album.

"And it would save me for the 5th time," a fan commented.

"H5 incoming," another added.

"And for the 5th time, I will be grateful and split my heart open to absorb it all. Love [you]."

Halsey Health Update

Despite all the excited comments about the upcoming album, Halsey's picture also garnered a number of concerned comments, noting how skinny she looks.

"Take care of yourself and your boy first and foremost my love. We love you so much," a fan reportedly wrote.

"Maybe come to Australia if you're healthy enough too," another added.

The singer did not seem to mind the comments about her appearance or about her health. After all, she has been pouring all of her focus on the album-and her son.

In fact, some fans acknowledge and applaud her for going through lengths in making the new album: "My favorite thing about Halsey is how they are always so brutally honest about how devastating & gut-wrenching it is to pour yourself into your artistry-like making good art is tearing yourself apart and disassembling your heart & pain & trauma for everybody to see and relate to. [sic]"

Halsey on Making Upcoming Album

According to reports, Halsey has been working on the album for months now, and she has no specific or strict "parameters" when it comes to creating a hit.

"As of right now, I'm approaching it kinda how I approached 'Manic'. No strict genre parameters or anything. Just making what feels good and what hits home," she wrote on social media.

The last album Halsey released was "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power," and since then she has slowed down on the roll-out, and has mostly focused on her son, releasing music occasionally, like "Lilith" for the "Diablo 4."
