At a moment when Britney has just separated from her partner Sam Asghari and all that it entails for their family unit, the pop star feels that making such a decision is not the appropriate thing to do.
"Britney is far from pleased at the recent news that Jamie Lynn has signed up for Dancing With the Stars," stated an unnamed source to ET. "She believes this isn't a good time, considering what she's already going through with her split from Sam."
"It's left her feeling let down and hurt by those close to her. There are no plans for Britney to watch Jamie Lynn on the show, and currently, there are issues between them."
The news broke last week that Jamie Lynn has decided to participate in the ABC reality competition series.
Eagerly, she is preparing to don her dancing shoes and give her best performance yet - while also donating her wages from the show directly to vSAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild of America amid their current strikes.
When asked about her sister Britney, all Jaime Lynn could say was, "My 15-year-old was very motivated for me to do this."
