The 1975's lead singer Matty Healy informed an audience at one of their show's last week that their current tour would be their last and that the band would take an indefinite hiatus.

He also shared the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, has that this tour will be the last show indefinitely. Thus making it especially meaningful to have the audience here tonight.

"Performing for you all is a pleasure," Matty said with a beaming smile. "It's marvelous that you're here." Indeed, every time the opportunity arises, they love playing for this audience."

Wrapping up the show, Healy stepped forward to declare its conclusion on behalf of The 1975.

As their "Still... At Their Very Best Tour" commenced in North America, an unexpected announcement was made by a particular "controversial" artist and his team.

Jamie Oborne, manager of this band, had already predicted this revelation, as he had hinted about it during promotions for their August concerts in Europe - as reported by Page Six.

Wrapping up their travels around North America, Seattle will be their last stop on November 15, 2023.

Then, after a brief break in December and January, they will head off to Great Britain in February before ending their tour with a performance on March 24 in North Holland.

Matty's sudden declaration left many in disbelief, with many taking to social media sites like X to express their disappointment about the news.
