Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears share a huge resemblance. Not only because they're both singers, but also because of their long blonde hair, sexy stature, and probably because of their sweet demeanor.
However, the two are actually far from each other if you would closely inspect. But when these high-profile celebrities go to public places, more often than not, they get mistaken for another person.
Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears Look Like Twins?
In an Instagram post, Jessica Simpson shared a laughable moment with her daughter, Maxwell, as they posted a selfie with their jaw dropped.
"The face when someone in the parking lot at the mall asks you for your autograph, but expects you to sign it Britney Spears," she captioned the photo, along with an emoji of a face with a tongue sticking out.
Surprised with the interaction, the mother and daughter weren't actually offended by it, but more of thrilled too, like many would expect.
Fans on social media assured that it was more of a compliment.
"Lol a compliment bc ur both beautiful," someone said.
"She Probly got nervous and could only say the most famous name in the world," another agreed.
"You're both beautiful women," a third person agreed.
However, not all were very positive about this. Some thought that this was a "diss" toward Spears.
"I'm honestly not here for this type of shade, & from one woman to another, I truly expected SO much better from you. Terrible example you're both setting AND encouraging," a user blasted Simpson.
"Mean Girls Vibes tiskkk tiskkk. Stay classy , not trashy. Putting other women down is NOTHING but trash! Then to teach your own child to do the same. WOW!" another commented.
"I'm not sure how to take this post. The two of you have always been compared, so I'm thinking this was a diss to her," someone pointed out.
Does Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears Have A Feud?
Considered as one of the popstars in the 1990s and 2000s, Jessica Simpson has been pitted against Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera for so long.
However, there wasn't any recorded feud between the three of them or between the two of them.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in 2020, Simpson sent some love to Aguilera and Britney.
"We grew up in a very competitive environment when it came to our record labels and being pushed to do things that were unnecessary for success," she explained. "I think everybody's careers have their own unique stories, and I love that Britney owns herself, Christina owns herself, and they don't let the world control them."
