Excerpts from Britney Spears' new memoir "The Woman in Me" revealed a decades-long secret that stunned fans of the former couple: they were pregnant with a baby.

"Justin definitely wasn't happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young," Spears wrote in the memoir set to debut on Oct. 24.

According to reports, Spears ended up terminating her pregnancy, which further surprised fans, who began digging into the singer's discography to look for clues.

They eventually theorized that her song "Everytime" seemingly alluded to her baby with Timberlake, on top of it being a heartbreak slash sorry song.

Britney Spears' 'Everytime' Dedicated to Baby?

Spears and Timberlake dated from 1999 to 2002; "Everytime" was included in the singer's 2003 album, "In The Zone," which came with a telling music video.

According to reports, fans think that Spears' music video was a metaphor for her life during that tumultuous time, as it depicted the life of two women: one who just died and another who had just given birth.

"Oh so Britney Spears' 'Everytime' wasn't about Justin Timberlake but it was about the baby?!"

Another fan cited the lyrics of the song: "'I see you in my dreams. I see your face. It's haunting me. Please forgive me, my weakness caused you pain, this song's my sorry..' [...] Abortion hurts women too. Abortion stops the heart of an innocent child, & breaks the heart of the mother."

"The baby in the end. OMG it all makes sense," another added.

Some fans even expressed their disappointment and disgust toward the *NSYNC star, who released "Cry Me A River,' the alleged response to "Everytime."

Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake Break Up

Elsewhere in the excerpt release, Spears wrote about her thoughts and feelings about the decision to terminate her pregnancy.

"It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn't a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I'd anticipated."

Additionally, she also reflected on how she would have done things, had it been her decision alone, "I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn't want to be a father.

"To this day, it's one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."
