After a protracted argument with Jamie Lynn, Britney Spears says she is 'trying to have more sympathy' for her. It appears though that a reconcilation between the sisters are not that easy.

The pop icon, 41, alleges in her explosive memoir The Woman In Me, which will be released on October 24, that Jamie-Lynn, 32, advised her to "stop fighting" her contentious conservatorship, which lasted from 2008 to 2021.

Spears writes: "She will always be my sister, and I love her and her beautiful family. I'm working to feel more compassion than anger toward her, and everyone who I feel has wronged me. It's not that easy."

The celebrity claimed that in their home in Kentwood, Louisiana, where her younger sister "ruled the roost," Britney felt like a "ghost child" to her parents Jamie and Lynne. She recalls entering the room and feeling as though no one had even noticed her.

But how she described Jamie Lynn is shocking.

"I can remember walking into the room and feeling like no one even saw me. Jamie Lynn only saw the TV. My mother, who at one time had been the person I was closest to in the world, was on another planet... I'd listen to her spew these hateful words, and I'd turn to my mother and say, "Are you going to let this little witch talk to you like that?" I mean, she was bad," she wrote further.

Spears claims that in 2018, when she was admitted to a mental health facility, she contacted Jamie to plead for assistance.

Spears has previously accused her sister of doing 'nothing' to support her during her conservatorship. She asserts Jamie's reply was, ""Stop fighting it... There's nothing you can do about it, so stop fighting it."

It may sound insane, but Spears penned: "This will sound crazy, but I'll say it again because it's the truth: I thought they were going to try to kill me. I didn't understand how Jamie Lynn and our father had developed such a good relationship. She knew I was reaching out to her for help and that she was dogging me. I felt like she should have taken my side."

The actress also discusses her infamous altercation with Jamie's Zoey 101 co-star Alexa Nikolas, admitting she now knows Nikolas was 'innocent' and apologizing.

After Jamie accused her of bullying, Nikolas revealed in 2022 that the singer had yelled at her on the Zoey 101 set. Britney later "personally apologized," according to Nikolas, for the incident.

Despite referring to her sister when she was only 11 years old, the pop diva labeled Jamie Lynn a "total b**ch" in another stunning extract. When Britney got home from her tour in 2002, she allegedly became frustrated with her sister's bad behavior, a source told Us Weekly on Thursday.
