NLE Choppa's mother made a desperate plea for fans and the public to get in touch with her if they have any information regarding her missing rapper son.

Angela Potts took to Instagram on Friday, October 10, to confirm that her son has been missing. She posted photos of herself and her son as she asked the fans for help finding him.

Rapper NLE Choppa Is NOT Missing

NLE Choppa's mother said in the post that her son was moving back to Memphis, Tenn., where he planned to work on a mixtape. But she lost contact with him, which has since left her concerned that something could have happened to him.

"Y'all help me pray over my child," Potts wrote. "He plans on moving back to Cottonwood where we worked hard to get out of just for a mixtape SMH! I ain't talked to this boy in hours and he usually doesn't do this. One thing I know about my son is that he doesn't go ghost for any reason."

The matriarch also asked the fans to contact her as soon as possible if they have an update regarding his status or whereabouts.

His management company also posted a photo of NLE Choppa on its Instagram Story and asked the followers to get in touch with Potts.

NLE Choppa has a scheduled appearance in San Antonio on Monday, October 23.

Colleagues, fans and friends shared their concerns online as they also tried to find out what happened to the rapper.

Chain Leak founder Joshuwa Roomsburg said, "Praying they find #NLEchoppa safe. But I have a bad feeling. That's why you never go back to the hood. Once you reach a certain level of success, you can no longer go back and hang out where you started. It don't work like that. People get jealous, feel like you left them, etc."

A few hours after the post, Potts shared an update saying that NLE Choppa was not missing and only "needed a minute" - though he did not tell anyone about it.

"I never intended to scare anyone with my post nor did I expect for people to think that he is missing," she continued. "But the frustrations of being the mother of a celebrity can be a bit much and overwhelming at times."
