Rihanna's fans have to go back and wait in limbo because the announcement of new music and an accompanying tour is apparently "bogus."
A "high-level" source told Billboard that there is no such thing as the music comeback and tour in 2024, as initial reports say.
The initial report was released by Entertainment Tonight, which alleged that Rihanna was "planning a world tour for 2024/2025 after striking a deal with Live Nation."
However, this is not the case, and the "Disturbia" singer "hasn't yet committed to any tour projects" next year.
Rihanna's Rumored 2024 Tour
According to reports, Rihanna has been pretty vocal that she wants to return to making and releasing music earlier this year.
"I want it to be this year," the singer told Vogue in February. "Like, honestly, it'd be ridiculous if it's not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos."
She also explained why it has taken her so long to come to this decision since she has not released music for several years now.
"I realized that if I keep waiting until this feels right and perfect and better, maybe it's going to keep taking forever and maybe it'll never come out and no, I'm not down to that.
"So I want to play. And by play, I mean I have my ideas in my head, but I can't say them out loud yet."
Rihanna did however drop a new song for the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack, "Lift Me Up."

Rihanna's Fans Disappointed
Following the initial news of Rihanna going on tour, fans expressed their happiness and excitement; the last album she released was back in 2016, "Anti."
So the news of her release new album and going on tour being "bogus" crushed a lot of fans' hopes.
"No actually the "high-level source" is the bogus one here! Rihanna is indeed going on a tour, she literally just told me last night!"
"But music still happening, right? RIGHT???"
Meanwhile, other fans already expected this to happen.
"As expected. Call me crazy but this is just a ploy from Rih so that nobody expects the tour announcement. She wants all that hype for the announcement not for it to be leaked online. Also, notice how it doesn't mention the 2 albums being fake? RIHANNA IS STILL COMING IN 2024!"
