After criticizing her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera for joining together for a tour following their breakup, Britney Spears received backlash from fans.

Fans think it's one thing to air out her misgivings, but it is another thing to feel everything is about her.

2003 saw the forced pairing of Justin and Christina for The Justified & Stripped Tour, which came one year after the singer of Sexy Back's acrimonious breakup with Britney.

Britney and Christina shared a dressing room while the brilliant trio appeared as Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club on The Disney Channel from 1993 to 1994.

Britney stated her dislike for the couple's iconic Rolling Stone cover in her new memoir "The Woman In Me," as well as Christina's statement that she believed Justin and Britney would reconcile at the time.

They appeared together on the cover of Rolling Stone, she in a lace-up black blouse and he in a black tank top, both gazing at her with seductive eyes, Britney recalled.

She expressed her opinion that Justin and I should reconcile in that narrative, which was puzzling given how critical she had been in other instances. Even if they weren't intentionally harsh, Britney continued, it felt like they were just rubbing salt in the wound. Why did it seem so simple for everyone to forget that I was a person, weak enough for these headlines to leave a mark? Fans swiftly criticized Britney's perspective on social media, claiming that Justin and Christina were only trying to publicize their tour and had nothing to do with her.

They were all co-stars on Disney Channel, thus Xtina and Justin were 100% entitled to tour together, one person said on X/Twitter. Britney, I'm sorry. 'Omg it wasn't even that profound, it was a tour promo,' a different user commented.

Justin and Christina have known each other since they were young. Britney truly about to piss me off, wrote a social media user.

Christina wasn't attempting to upset you or worry about you when she went on tour with Justin.

They were childhood friends and have remained such; they have also always had positive things to say about one another, so a collaboration was inevitable, many said.

A commenter wrote, "Huh? Xtina did a photoshoot to promote their tour,' while a fifth similarly wrote: 'They were promoting a tour!!!"

One added, "Someone should tell Britney it was not that deep. The last thing that was in Xtina's mind when she did the cover was Britney. The world doesn't revolve around her. Xtina just wanted to promote her tour with JT."

With the release of their debut singles in the late 1990s, the two iconic vocalists Spears and Aguilera shot to pop prominence, and many couldn't help but put the two young, blonde singers against one another.
