After Britney Spears released her bombshell memoir "The Woman in Me," fans have gotten to know the singer a little better and why they think she would not be releasing new music anytime soon.

"My music career is not my focus at the moment," The "Oops I Did It Again" singer confessed in her memoir.

"Right now it's time to get my spiritual life in order, to pay attention to the little things, to slow down....being an entertainer was great, but over the last five years my passion to entertain in front of a live audience has lessened. I do it for myself now. I feel God more when I'm alone."

This is the first time Spears has openly revealed her plans regarding her music career, which many people hope would be resurrected after she was released from her 13-year conservatorship.

Britney Spears Taking It Slow

And while Spears has admitted to taking a step back from recording and releasing music, she did say that she is not going to close that door forever-after all, it is a huge part of her life.

"I thought I might get a studio again someday and just play around, but for some time I hadn't been thinking about recording," the "Womanizer" wrote.

"When I walk around my house singing, I feel completely free, completely at ease, completely happy."

She also reflected on how being able to sing now that she has been freed from her conservatorship has brought her immense freedom and happiness.

"Whether I sound perfect or not, I don't even care. Singing makes me feel confident and strong the same way exercise does or prayer."

Britney Spears' Fans Show Her Support

However, despite the news of the "Toxic" singer wanting to slow down on making and releasing music, fans have been very supportive.

"We want her to do what makes her happy.. and if that isn't music then so be it. she deserves rest," one wrote.

"'I'm so happy and proud for Britney Spears seeking spiritual enlightenment first before anything. There's absolutely no evil under the sun that can beat God or someone who is spiritually awake. The best way to connect with your higher-self is truly through spirituality and God."

"I am honestly perfectly fine with her never making music ever again or touring. She deserves to fucking enjoy life," another wrote.

"I really miss Britney in the music industry!! But I want her to be ok and happy."
