Longing for a break, Will Smith posted a video of himself sleeping peacefully on a boat.

Notifications were off; this was needed after all the news that broke from Jada Pinkett Smith's newly released memoir "Worthy."

According to a source who spoke exclusively to Life & Style, the "Fresh Prince" rapper has had no choice but to try and stay strong in the face of Jada's criticism of him and their relationship.

Seven years ago, Jada and Will reportedly quietly parted ways - a fact only revealed by the 52-year-old author's bombshell book.

Had plans gone accordingly, this news would have been announced when Will appeared on his wife's talk show, "Red Table Talk," to discuss her involvement with August Alsina last year.

Although Jada had made it clear in her tell-all that the couple was "basically broken up," Will wasn't ready to make their relationship struggles public.

A source informed Life & Style that, despite everything, there was still hope within him. "Will wanted to believe they could work it out," the insider commented.

"So, for now, they're remaining at a distance and attempting to figure out a path forward."

Promoting her memoir on "Today," the actress revealed that she and Will had been taking active steps to improve their relationship. A source close to them explained that Will still cares deeply for Jada, and neither wishes to end the marriage.

A source tells the outlet, "Jada's been keeping her emotions in check for quite some time now, and it appears so is Will. Together, they are struggling with making sense of the current state of their marriage."

Jada Pinkett Smith's Bombshell Claims

Before publishing her memoir, "Worthy," Jada Pinkett Smith made a startling confession in an NBC News interview with Hoda Kotb.

Regarding her relationship with Will Smith, she revealed that they had been living "completely separate lives" since 2016 and had been separated for seven years. Now, she wants to make clear the truth behind this claim.

In a recent interview with Hoda, author Jada Pinkett Smith clarified that she and her husband, Will Smith, had never fully separated but were only apart until the night of the 2022 Oscars.

When asked to be "100 percent clear" regarding their reconciliation, the successful actress offered insight into her relationship.

"Yes, we are working very hard to bring our relationship back together...back to a life partnership."

"Here's the thing about husband-wife marriage for me, my healing process. I came into that with very specific ideas that blocked me from seeing Will as who he is. He can't be this perfect, idealized husband. I have to be able to accept him for the human that he is. He accepts me for the human that I am, and we want to love each other there."

Speaking with Stephen Colbert on "The Late Show" recently, Jada was asked about the status of her marriage to Will Smith. Her response: "That's still my man." She went on to explain that while uncoupling consciously is difficult, the decision between staying separated or divorced was a tough one.
