Fans were looking forward to watching Halsey take the role of Sally in the on-stage adaptation of the classic movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas" but it appears that the singer won't push through with her role anymore; what happened?

According to Billboard, the "New Americana" hitmaker quietly pulled out of the production just weeks after it was announced that she would partake in the live stage performance later this year.

As of this writing, there is still no information regarding her exit from the production, but an insider told the outlet that it has been weeks since she decided to leave and the main reason behind it was a "scheduling conflict."

Neither Halsey nor the production team behind "The Nightmare Before Christmas" has yet to officially announce anything regarding the matter.

'The Nightmare Before Christmas' Live

Per the outlet, Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, was initially announced to play the role of Sally in the live production of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" by Tim Burton.

The show is being done in honor of the original movie's 30th anniversary. The shows were scheduled to play on October 27, 28, and 29, 2023, and Halsey was supposed to appear on the first two nights.

'The Nightmare Before Christmas' Live Ticketholders Only Advised About MAJOR Change Days Before the Event

The outlet noted that Hollywood Bowl's official page indicated that Halsey is not a part of the show anymore.

In addition, those who already purchased tickets to watch the show were only advised about the big change within the cast just days before the show.

Over the past few years, Billie Eilish and Phoebe Bridgers have played the role of Sally in the production.

Although it's unclear what the "scheduling conflict" means, Halsey may be currently busy with her fifth album as she has been teasing her next musical project online for weeks now.

Halsey is now signed under Columbia Records and is working on her project as it would be her first under the music company.

As of this writing, the "Colors" hitmaker has yet to share more details about her new album.
