Singer-actress Keke Palmer shocked the internet when she revealed that her boyfriend, Darius Jackson had been beating her up. She even publicized stills of surveillance footage, showing Jackson hitting Palmer.
Now, Palmer has finally secured a temporary restraining order against Jackson, who has since been slammed by the former's fans on social media because of his statements about her girlfriend's fashion choices.
Keke Palmer Physically Abused By Darius Jackson
According to NBC News, Keke Palmer, formally known as Lauren Keyana Palmer, has accused her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson of emotional and physical abuse. In her filing, she stated that she has been repeatedly attacked, trespassed at her home, and even became "very frustrated" with their 8-month-old son.
The Los Angeles Superior Court granted Palmer a temporary restraining order against Jackson.
According to the "True Jackson VP" actress, the abuse happened within their 2-year relationship. The abuse apparently did not stop even after reuniting from their breakup last October 2023.
"It is because of our son, Leo, that I was finally able to end my relationship with Darius once and for all and escape the abuse. Leo is the most important thing in the entire world to me; he needs and deserves to be safe and grow up in an environment free from violence," Palmer said in a statement.
Since reuniting Palmer has described Jackson as "even more unhinged, volatile, and dangerous," prompting the singer to fear for her and her son's safety.
The granted restraining order now prohibits Jackson from contacting the two at least 100 yards away. She is also seeking sole custody.

"Darius would 'love bomb' me and make me feel like I was the most important woman in the world, only to get extremely distant and cold over a perceived insult to him. If we were at a party or event, and I spoke with one person too long or looked at someone a 'certain way,' he would storm off in a rage - telling me I was [a] 'slut' and a 'whore,' accuse me of cheating on him, and that I did not love him," she explained in her filing. "Darius had a way of gaslighting me to make me feel like I was doing something wrong even though I wasn't."
Notably, Darius Jackson was slammed by people on social media for getting mad at Palmer for wearing a provocative outfit during an Usher concert. Since then, fans have cast doubt and skepticism on Jackson.
