Fans of Beyonce were shocked to uncover that one of her most well-known tunes was initially sung by Victoria Beckham.

The song "Resentment" appeared on Beyonce's second studio album, "B'Day" back in 2006.

Astonishingly, it was first recorded by the former Spice Girl in 2004.

Victoria Beckham Sang It First

Surprising music fans, The Shade Room's Instagram account posted an audio clip of Beyonce singing alongside the "B'Days" version.

However, it appears not many were pleased with Victoria's performance as comments started rolling in, criticizing the David Beckham's wife.

One even wittily quipped: "That should've been kept as Victoria's secret!" Another said bluntly: "Victoria's version sounds like a Victoria's."

Many people had an opinion on Victoria's rendition, with one person commenting: "Victoria's should be spicing up the song."

Another voiced their dissatisfaction by pleading: "Victoria, please! I'm trying to have a good time "tonight."

One individual remarked: "That's likely why it isn't included in her album. I had never heard the song - which is why my initial response was an audible 'ugh.'"

Jazmine Sullivan Sang It Too

The general" opinion seemed to be that R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan deliver the best performance of the song.

One fan commented, "I love Beyoncé's version...but no singer can sing any song better"Jazmine Sullivan." Agreeing with this sentiment, a second chimed in: "No shade to Bey, but Jazmine's interpretation of this ATE DOWN."

Another person said: "Jazmine gave the song grit and soul." Another chimed in "Jazmine should match her vocals."

And yet another commented, "For me nobody gave this song the required emotion like Jazmine. She owned it."

The track eventually found its way into the spotlight, appearing on the documentary "The Real Beckhams" soundtrack. Beyonce then gave it a fresh twist so that it Victoria musical style before adding it to her second studio album.

Why Did Victoria Beckham Leave The Spice Girls?

Victoria Beckham, also known as Posh Spice, left the Spice Girls in 2001.

She decided to pursue a solo career and focus on her personal ventures, including fashion and business. She has a VB line which showcases high-end clothes, makeup and skincare.

It was a significant moment in the once-famous girl group's history, but each member went on to explore individual paths.

They reunited for special events and projects later on, but Victoria chose to prioritize her own interests at that time.
