There were reports that Cardi B would be taking some time off music seemingly came out of nowhere on social media earlier today, however, the rapper came to X (formerly known as Twitter) to set the record straight herself.
"I never said I was taking a hiatus... I'm just continuing with my social media break like I have been for the last few weeks," the "Bodak Yellow" rapper wrote in a tweet. "Not sure why that's causing such a ruckus. BG ya know where to catch me!"
This was met with a sigh of relief from Cardi B's fans, who have been impatiently waiting for the singer to release her highly anticipated sophomore album.
On the other hand, some netizens could not help but roll their eyes at the rapper.
"Nobody even noticed she was gone," one wrote.
"She is on hiatus because Nicki [Minaj] is on fire," another added.
"She's not taking a hiatus she just can't make a hit, she's irrelevant and, nobody likes her so it seems like she's on a hiatus."
Cardi B Takes a Hiatus
Although the rapper's hiatus this time around was debunked, fans were not surprised that Cardi B would announce a hiatus, as it already happened earlier this year.
According to reports, she announced taking time off from social media back in September because of how "f**king crazy" people on the Internet were.
"There's a whole bunch of people that was in the f**king slow class, and ya'll not gonna muthaf**king make me feel like ya'll. They ain't gonna make me feel like them, so I just have to get the f***off this s**t," she said during a livestream.
Fans are getting worried about Cardi B announcing a hiatus because the follow-up of her debut album "Invasion of Privacy" is on the line.

Cardi B's Upcoming Album
Cardi B has not released a new album since 2018, and while fans have expressed their impatience and excitement, the rapper is taking her time with creating the upcoming album.
"I should already start talking about the album because I'm going to be putting it out very soon," she said earlier this year and revealed that the album will be released in 2024.
"I wasn't even thinking like that...for this album, I'm just holding it because I feel like I'm missing a couple of things.
"[...] I missed out on a lot of videos I wanted to do, I missed out on touring - I just missed out on a lot of things, so I just gotta make sure that everything is just planned out."
