Drake gave Taylor Swift a special shout-out in his newly released song "Red Button," where he raps about the "Anti-Hero" singer being the only artist who would make him push back a release date.

"Taylor Swift the only n***a that I ever rated / Only one could make me drop the album just a little later," he raps.

As per Forbes Magazine, the Canadian rapper recognizes that going up against the Grammy Award-winner could be dire for his songs' chances of topping the music charts since she is one of the most celebrated stars today.

The last time the two artists came head to head was last year when Swift released her 10th studio album "Midnights" while Drake dropped his joined album with 21 Savage, "Her Loss" around the same time.

Drake 'Shades' Taylor Swift

According to reports, the rapper shared a screenshot of the Billboard Hot 100, which showed "Her Loss" songs charting, and covered up Swift's "Anti-Hero," which was at the No. 1 spot, with a bunch of emojis.

Despite what seems like Drake giving Swift a shout-out in his new song, Swifties could not help but bring up the "shady" picture from last year.

"Dropped the album a little later and cried about her," one wrote.

"I know it's not a diss but why does Drake always feel the need to name-drop females or even bring up females every time he releases an album."

"Drake being petty towards Taylor because she blocked him on the charts... like bffr it was YOUR decision to release your album right after hers," another wrote back in 2022.

"Drake riding the Taylor Swift hype now," another added.

Taylor Swift Reaches 'Michael Jackson Level of Fame'?

Swifties have decided that the "Love Story" singer has reached the "Michael Jackson level of fame" following her recent tour in Brazil. The country welcomed the singer by projecting her iconic "Junior Jewels" shirt on the Christ the Redeemer statue.

Drake was not the only one who had to reschedule a release so they would not have to compete against Swift.

According to reports, back in September, Blumhouse head Jason Blum rescheduled the highly anticipated release of "The Exorcist: Believer" from Oct. 13 to Oct. 6, so it would not interfere with the premiere of "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" concert film.
