Rumors have been stirring that Mariah Carey and her much younger beau, Bryan Tanaka, may have broken up.

The pair had fans questioning their relationship status after the 54-year-old diva's concert on Wednesday night at the Yaamava Resort & Casino in Highland, California.

Mariah Carey's 'Downcast' Performance

At the Billboard Music Awards, Mariah Carey was set to debut her modern Christmas classic, "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

However, some audience members and social media users noticed that she seemed dispirited and commented on her supposed lack of energy during her performance.

Since Bryan Tanaka disappeared from Mariah Carey's Instagram profile at the end of December 2022, fans have felt anxious and uncertain after seeing the video of her most recent performance.

One fan voiced their worries on X (formerly known as Twitter) by posting an old video of the hitmaker performing in a casino with a caption: "We need Bryan Tanaka back!"

The room filled with awe as the crowd beheld her in her dazzling red sequined bodysuit.

The singer's solid and toned legs were emphasized, and epaulets of gold added an extra glamor to the ensemble. Without her partner present, the beautiful singer began belting out the beloved carol "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

As she made her way to the front of the stage, her movements were allegedly like a robot - taking tiny steps with hardly any action in her upper body.

Even though usually quite vibrant and smiley on stage, this time around, it almost seemed an expression of tension had taken over. A look of strain crossed her face during particular segments of the performance, as described by many fans.

Fans Are Worried

As people watched the clip of her backup dancing ensemble, one fan asked with worry, "Where is Bryan Tanaka? He's not in the shot."

Another opined that something must be wrong as she seemed to have a cloud of sadness.

It was back in December 2022 when fans of Mariah Carey had a glimpse of her romance with her choreographer-turned-beau on her Instagram feed. Unfortunately, the boyfriend has not been active on the app since June.

In 2016, Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka began their relationship after a split from her billionaire ex-fiancé, James Packer.

Although Mariah ended things with Bryan in 2017, they reunited shortly afterward. Before this relationship, she was married to music executive Tommy Mottola - who had signed her to Columbia Records in 1990 - and Nick Cannon, with whom she has 12-year-old twins Roc and Roe.
