Gene Simmons announced that he will no longer be using his X, formerly Twitter, account.

On Sunday, November 19, Simmons took to X and shared the links to his other social media pages including Instagram, TikTok and Threads. He told his followers that he decided not to post on the platform anymore.

Why Did Gene Simmons Leave X?

While some fans want him to stay, others approve of his decision.

One said, "Friends, I bet you he's still here tomorrow........ and the day after that."

"this isn't an airport. No need to announce your departure," another said, while one user wrote, "If you're serious then delete your account."

Simmons did not reveal the exact reason behind his exit, but Neil Young also did the same citing Elon Musk's controversial comments as a driving force to his decision.

Young wrote on his Neil Young Archives website: "For reasons that should be obvious to the richest man on Earth, we are taking this action against his company. For our many Palestinian friends and our many Jewish friends, we do need to start over in the present and release our terrible connections to the past."

He attached a photo of Musk with the text, "Teslas should fly flags of love - not hate."

It is highly likely that Simmons left the platform due to the same reason.
