Halle Bailey is being criticized online for contributing to the downfall of a nail salon after her boyfriend, DDG, name dropped the business online and encouraged his fans to give them a one-star rating.
According to reports, the rapper called the nail salon "racist" for turning "The Little Mermaid" star away after she asked them if they could wait for her sister, Chloe Bailey, to arrive a little later than their scheduled appointment.
"This place is racist towards black people," the rapper wrote in a now-deleted post on X (formerly known as Twitter). "They kicked my girlfriend out while doing her nails...please give them a 1 star.. they don't deserve business."
The couple's fans immediately took to Yelp to give the nail salon a scathing review. "Horrible. Worst experience ever! If I could give negative stars, I would! Big thumbs down. Definitely find a different business [...]," one wrote.
"I had by far the worst service I've ever had. This isn't my normal shop that I attend [...]"
"Just an overall bad experience. Don't recommend at all. The staff is rude and inexperienced," another added.
Halle Bailey Defends Herself, Chloe Bailey
According to reports, the actress slash singer decided to leave the nail salon and take their business elsewhere after failing to come to the appointment at the agreed-upon time.
"I'm slowly but surely starting to get a little frustrated," Bailey explained. "I have really brought them a lot of customers, and I can't believe that they're acting this way over nine minutes."
Elsewhere, on Instagram, she added: "Y'all it is not that serious. I just was explaining my day on Snapchat and did not name any names. We went to another salon and still got our nails done beautifully lol. Everyone, be nice to everyone and calm down about some nails please."

Halle Bailey Faces Backlash
The owner of the nail salon took to Instagram as well to respond to Bailey's Instagram comment. They shared a screenshot of the comment and wrote: "Not serious for you, but our business is ruined!
"We still get phone calls, messages, and bad reviews. So many years I worked so hard to open this small business and in a second you and your BF ruined it. And you just laughing?"
"She loves starting shit and then telling everybody to be nice she thinks she's Selena Gomez," one wrote on X regarding the altercation.
"I've started to realize she keeps dating a loser like DDG because she is just as much of a terrible person. ready to start s**t unless and until it's about standing up to your own BF who publicly shames you lol."
