Jennifer Lopez 'This Is Me... Now' Album, Short Film Release Date Revealed

Jennifer Lopez hasn't released an album since 2014, which is why her loyal fans have been dreading the release of "This is Me...Now." The ninth album is a callback to her third album, "This Is Me... Then," which seemingly chronicles his past self.

Now, Jennifer Lopez also revealed that there would also be a "short film" that is coming!

According to Variety, "This is Me...Now" will be directed by Dave Meyers, the same mind who directed Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left To Cry," Kendrick Lamar's "Humble," Missy Elliott's "Work It" and even Taylor Swift's "ME"

Jennifer Lopez's "This is Me...Now" was described to be a "narrative-driven, intimate, reflective, sexy, funny, fantastical and highly entertaining musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinized love life."

The short film will also reference her relationship to now-husband Ben Affleck - including a callback to 2002's "Dear Ben," which gets a song sequel titled "Dear Ben Pt. II."

"When I was a little girl, when someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always... in love," Lopez says in the now-released teaser of the "This is Me...Now" short film.

Jennifer Lopez 'This Is Me...Now' Album Release Date

In the same report, it was revealed that Jennifer Lopez's "This is Me...Now" album will be released on Feb. 16, 2024.

The announcement came months after Lopez inked a new recording and publishing partnership deal with Nuyorican and BMG.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her and her team to release her first album in nearly a decade," BMG's CEO Thomas Coesfeld said in a statement to Billboard, describing the singer to be a "global superstar artist, entertainer... a phenomenon."

The album release will be led by her lead single, "Can't Get Enough," which will be released on Jan. 10, 2024. Nevertheless, fans can already pre-save the song on various social media platforms.
