The intimate details of the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are still under wraps.
But recently, a podcast clip sparked speculation that the NFL player had been attempting to keep their romance secret before it was revealed to the public.
In the September 6th installment of "New Heights," Travis was seen wearing a black T-shirt with singer John Mayer emblazoned across it - one of Taylor Swift's exes.
With confirmation from Swift that she and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were already dating by this time, her fanbase has expressed their surprise at him donning such an item of clothing.

The fact that Travis was wearing a John Mayer shirt in one episode gave rise to the idea that this could be why she dated him, as observed by one X, formerly Twitter, user.
This speculation was further supported when another tweeted: "It actually kind of worked cause people pointed that out and said why would she date someone who likes John mayor [sic]."
Travis was awkward talking to his brother and sister-in-law about his romantic life.
His response was quite amusing: "I gotta get back on Tinder and show a pre-season sideline pic of me." Things certainly weren't looking great for Travis' dating life."
"I want to feel those fireworks. I've always wanted [love at first sight] to happen," the athlete went on to say, adding that he was "still looking for someone to breed with."
Travis declared he was out to experience his "love story," similar to what Taylor Swift had discussed in her 2008 song.
His 4-year-old niece, Wyatt, was also mentioned by the "Catching Kelce" star due to her naughty behavior, which made many people guess that Jason and Kylie's daughters knew of their uncle's relationship with someone special.
When the two married in 2018, Jason and Kylie had difficulty expressing their emotions during the episode.
Kylie, 31, explained that she would never try to set her husband up with another woman as he was doing excellent all by himself and did not need assistance.
Public Display of Affection
At the end of October, Travis and Taylor made headlines as their relationship became public when she accompanied him to an NFL game against the Chicago Bears.
Afterward, the "Anti-Hero" singer was keen to clear up any confusion on Wednesday that they had not jumped straight into a first date at the game; she told reporters that they were already a couple at that time.
Since then, Taylor has been spotted supporting Travis at numerous NFL matchups.
It wasn't long after Travis declared during a a July podcast episode that the situation was "metal as hell," as dubbed by his girlfriend, following his failed attempt to give the singer's his phone number that the two struck up a friendship.
