Three years after Hillsong leader and friend Carl Lentz was expelled from the church, Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey appear to have chosen a new pastor.

On Sunday night in Los Angeles, the 27-year-old American model and the 29-year-old Canadian singer were spotted leaving dinner with Churchome head Judah Smith and his wife Chelsea Smith.

Before being excommunicated from the Hillsong church, Justin was close to the pastor. Selena Gomez, Justin's ex, recently disclosed that she is seeing Benny Blanco, his collaborator.

The power couple was recently spotted with their 45-year-old main communicator, Judah, and social media influencer, Chelsea, from the megachurch in the Seattle region.

The group of four allegedly had a three-hour supper in the posh Malibu, California, beach area. Russell Wilson, the 35-year-old quarterback for the Denver Broncos, and Lana del Rey are also Churchome's ardent supporters, and the two are not only the Bieber family. Wilson even sits on the board of directors.

As stated on the website, "everyone can find a home where they belong in the Churchome community, which is built on the life and teachings of Jesus."

Recently, Judah and Churhome were also involved in controversy after it was alleged that they coerced workers into giving 10% of their pay.

According to The Seattle Times, worker Rachel Kellogg filed a lawsuit in May of this year, alleging that Churchome and its executives "engaged in a systemic scheme of wage and hour abuse against their employees."

One of the accusations was that they demanded that workers contribute 10% of their monthly gross earnings as a contribution, and threatened to reprimand or even fire them if they didn't comply. In relation to the controversies surrounding churches, Justin was well-known for his association with Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz prior to his downfall.

In November 2020, Carl, 45, was declared unable to remain in the church following allegations that he had cheated on his wife Laura. Carl came clean about his infidelity in a surprising post at the time, saying he was prepared to deal with the "painful consequences" and "seek out the help that he needed."

After that, he left the public eye, although he has now returned on social media. The Secrets Of Hillsong, a Vanity Fair and FX documentary series, focused on Carl and his spouse as well.

The show examined the megachurch's explosive growth and problems, including claims of sexual abuse, moral failings, and purported financial mismanagement. Before his world collapsed,

Lentz, the chief pastor of New York City, enjoyed a privileged life in a $1.5 million New Jersey home and brought the Hillsong megachurch to the United States from Australia.
