After Nicki Minaj denied Kanye West of releasing "New Body," the latter seemed to have erupted in flames, fuming at what the former had to say about him.
West sought Minaj's permission to clear "New Body," a 3-year-old song that Minaj had continuously asked West to release for years, but was never allowed to do so.
Kanye West Fumes At Nicki Minaj After Denying 'New Body' Clearance
In an exclusive clip obtained by The Shade Room, Kanye West blasted Nicki Minaj for not clearing her verse for "New Body." Supposedly, "New Body" is to be released on "Vultures," a collaborative album with Ty Dolla Sign.
Aside from blasting Minaj for not clearing "New Body," West also dragged Nicki Minaj for not helping her in the past.
"I made that girl rewrite her verse three times for 'Monster,'" he said about Nicki Minaj. "I supported her career, so I don't [know] what it is, but we gon' get this record, or we just ain't gon' put sh*t out!"
Ye sought Minaj's approval via a text he uploaded on Twitter/X, asking to clear the viral track.
Minaj, in a live stream, declined the ask, saying: "Now, regarding Kanye, that train has left the station, okay?. No disrespect in any way. I just put out a brand new album. Why would I put out a song that's been out for three years? Come on, guys."

Nicki Minaj Asks Kanye West Approval For 'New Body'
In a 2022 interview, Nicki Minaj revealed that she had asked West to release "New Body" back then.
"The public adored 'New Body.' 'New Body' is the biggest hit record that never came out," she said of the track that she described to have never seen "the light of day." "So what I thought was interesting was that Kanye made me write my 'New Body' verse four times over in order to fit into where he was creatively and spiritually in his life.
According to Nicki Minaj, she missed the song by a year and if it wouldn't have been for Kanye's gospel era, the song wouldve been released.
"Everybody knows that's the hit that got away. [...] I think the ship has sailed for 'New Body,' everybody has come to love the original way they heard it."
The song was scrapped and was leaked several times on social media, including the music video.
