KISS is going all-in to give their best avatars to the fans.

During KISS' End of the Road Tour's last stop, the Associated Press confirmed that the band members received their digital avatars and had them perform "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" during the show's encore. It confirmed that the AI versions would continue the band's legacy.

KISS To Spend $200M on Avatars

Gene Simmons opened up about KISS avatars in a new video during a meeting with fans at the Electric Lady studios in New York City. One fan asked him what the avatars looked like when the band first saw them.

"There's so much being planned, even beyond my comprehension. But they're spending, oh, about 200 million [dollars] to take it to the next level," the rocker continued.

The fan also told Simmons about Michael Jackson's show that involved a hologram, calling it an "amazing way to share music of late musicians. The supporter also opened up about ABBA's show in London and the band's usage of AI versions of themselves.

Once fully implemented, KISS will reportedly become the first American band to go virtual and hold shows for the Avatars.

About KISS' Avatars

The Pophouse Entertainment Group and Industrial Light & Magic - George Lucas' special-effects company - created KISS members' AI versions. They were also the ones behind the digital avatar version of ABBA, which aimed to allow the bands to perform for eternity with the technology as it can play the same show of a certain band simultaneously in different places.

"What we've accomplished has been amazing, but it's not enough. The band deserves to live on because the band is bigger than we are," Paul Stanley said. "It's exciting for us to go the next step and see Kiss immortalized."

Simmons, meanwhile, added, "We can be forever young and forever iconic by taking us to places we've never dreamed of before. The technology is going to make Paul jump higher than he's ever done before."

The confirmation came after Ace Frehley, who left KISS following the 2001 Farewell Tour, said he was happy he did not become involved in the shows as he is not a fan of groups who retire and come back afterward.
