After teasing some shows yesterday (Sept. 8) via Twitter, The Foo Fighters have announced that they will be playing their first gig under a new name.

NME reports that Dave Grohl and co. will take the stage at the Concorde 2 in Brighton, England as The Holy Shits.

Tickets are currently available for the gig, which is the first of three shows according to a tweet sent out yesterday.

The band will be headlining at the closing ceremony for the Invictus Games, a competition for wounded servicemen and women, this Sunday at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The concert will also feature Kaiser Chiefs, Ellie Goulding, Ryan Adams, The Vamps, Rizzle Kicks, James Blunt, Diversity and Military Wives Choirs.

When they're not tweeting, The Foo Fighters are presumably working on their eighth studio album, Sonic Highways, which is due out Nov. 3. The album will feature the likes of Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Joe Walsh, Joan Jett, Rami Jaffee, Gary Clark Jr. and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. An companion TV series chronicling the making of the record will air on HBO Oct. 17.

Believe it or not, there are a few Foo Fighters dates that are confirmed and haven't been announced via Twitter. Check the dates out below and watch the trailer for Sonic Highways.
