Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj's friendship is one of the most endearing friendships in the music industry. Swift was instrumental in Minaj's success as she was the first one to have people listen to Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" in 2010.

Fast forward to today, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift, or as Stan Twitter calls them, TayNika, seemed to be hinting at finally working together.

Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift Collaborating In '1989 (Taylor's Version)'?

Both born in December, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift consider themselves Saggitarius Queens. The two publicly mentioned "Sag Queens" during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards earlier this year before Minaj handed Swift her Video of the Year Moonperson for "Anti Hero."

Since then, fans thought that it hinted at Nicki Minaj's involvement in Taylor Swift's "1989 (Taylor's Version)," specifically in "Bad Blood." Nicki Minaj fans, the Barbz, reunited with Taylor Swift fans, Swifties, in unlocking the million puzzles that Taylor Swift posted on Google.

Sadly, when the tracklist for "1989 (Taylor's Version)" was released, Minaj was nowhere to be found, leaving fans disappointed and dismayed by the result.

Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift Collaboration

Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj was asked by fans if she would ever collaborate with Taylor Swift on a record, to which she replied that she would do it "in a heart beat."

In the same week that Billboard reported that Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" broke the record as the highest selling Vinyl sales record in female rap history.

"The SAG QUEEN TAYLOR DESERVES!!!! PERIOD!!!!! She takes months & years off then comes back with great music & fans who'll never leave her!!!! The END!!!!!!! I was simply discussing vinyls w/the barbz due to questions they had for me..." Minaj tweeted, sharing that Swift, who scored the biggest week for Vinyl sales record in Billboard history during the debut week of "1989 (Taylor's Version)," is one to reckon with.

"This is a CELEBRATION!!!!! I'm about to thank each & every artist on this album. But!!!!

The point is that we have something to aspire to as we watch the SAG QUEEN Taylor & the swifties & Republic Records," Minaj told her fans.

Next week, Hits Daily Double projects that Taylor Swift would overtake Nicki Minaj at the top spot of the Billboard 200 with "1989 (Taylor's Version)" and "Pink Friday 2" exchanging spots.
