Meghan Trainor Bio 

Meghan Elizabeth Trainor was born on December 22, 1993 in Nantucket, Massachussetts. Growing up in Nantucket Island, young Meghan first pursued her passion for music when she was only seven years old. At 11, Trainor wrote her first song, as per All Music. Meghan studied high school at Nauset High School in Cape Cod. As a high school student, the "All About that Bass" singer sang with, and played trumpet with, a jazz band. She also simultaneously took guitar lessons at the time, from mentor, Johnny Spampinato. Spampinato was known to be a guitarist with NRBQ and the Incredible Casuals. 

Meghan Trainor Music Career Beginnings 

Meghan continuously worked on her music career when she reached her college years. At 18, Meghan was able to release three albums on her own, with the musician solely making the music in these albums exclusively. Soon thereafter self-releasing these albums, Meghan sealed a record deal with Big Yellow Dog Music (handled record contracts of Sabrina Carpenter, Rascal Flatts, and Common Kings, just to name a few). Not too long afterwards, the singer signed a record deal with Epic.

Meghan Trainor Hits, Accomplishments, and Accolades 

Meghan's debut single, "All About that Bass" (2014) was a hit in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single was certified five times platinum, and sold more than four million copies in America. The follow-up single to "All About that Bass," "Lips are Movin'" (2015) was certified double platinum. "No" was the lead single off Meghan Trainor's sophomore album,"Thank You." (2016). Meghan won the Grammy award for Best New Artist in 2016. 

Meghan Trainor Performs a Holiday Song, Duet with Jimmy Fallon 

In time for the holidays 2023, Meghan Trainor recently did a duet with talk show host, Jimmy Fallon in Jimmy Kimmel Live for their debut performance of the holiday song, "Wrap Me Up" on the November 27, Monday episode, of the show, as per People magazine.
