Nicki Minaj never forgets what people say about her and she might or might not clap back at you with a bar, but she would definitely get back to you the other way around.

Among the biggest criticisms of Nicki Minaj's success in the female rap lane was that she had no competition at the time of her shot to fame.

Being the sole female rapper who blends pop and rap at the same time gave her an edge and has undoubtedly inspired the artists in her lane right now like Cardi B, Doja Cat, Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion, and the likes, the same people that have been compared to her.

As Nicki Minaj cements her domination at the female rap throne with the release of "Pink Friday 2," Minaj has something to say to her haters.

Nicki Minaj Breaks Spotify Records

To date, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" is the biggest album to debut for a female hip hop album in Spotify history in 2023 (via Chart Data)

It has also achieved several monumental achievements that she has only achieved as a female rapper,

In an interview with Joe Budden, Nicki Minaj responded to Budden's prodding on what she felt about breaking the record.

"Spotify 24-hour streams... Someone's only popping 'cause there wasn't nobody else out," Minaj said in a mocking, animated voice.

"So, you remember people saying this stuff?" Budden hit back in response, which Minaj nodded in agreement. "People did say this stuff."

People online have discredited Minaj for her contribution to the female rap scene, even mocking her for saying that she is already past her prime.

Nicki Minaj Diss In 'FTCU'

Elsewhere in the interview, Nicki Minaj also clarified if her line in "FTCU" was an actual diss toward Iggy Azalea or Tory Lanez.

Budden asked, with Minaj responding, "Well, without thinking about it being shade to a few people, what do you think the line itself means?" "'I'm not one of them,' and I think it was a clever way to say that," Budden said in realization.

To date, it's still unclear to fans whether that line was a dig toward Tory Lanez or Iggy Azalea.
