Upon closing their final in-person concert ever earlier this month, KISS revealed that their legacy will continue to thrive through the use of technology. However, fans will have to wait a long time now that they announced when it's coming out.

According to Rolling Stone, the band's final concert held at Madison Square Garden in New York were filled with the celebration of their career and they also teased what the future holds for them.

"The future is so exciting," Gene Simmons said, while Paul Stanley added, "We can live on eternally."

They were referring to their animated avatars in collaboration with Industrial Light & Magic.

If you're excited to their animated versions whether it be on the big screen or in a concert format, you will have to wait for a few more years as KISS revealed that the new era will begin in 2027.

"50 years is a long time, and what the future holds is in the making... A show is coming," they wrote on social media featuring the promotional video.

What to Expect From KISS Avatars?

The outlet noted that it's still unclear which direction would this project head as there is still no announcement regarding this matter.

However, it might be like what ABBA and Whitney Houston shows did as they have ultra-modern holographic shows featuring the best versions of themselves.

The outlet noted that it's highly-possible that KISS will also have the same gigs as ABBA's because Pophouse Entertainment, which was involved in the Swedish Band's hologram shows, will have the same role on the rock band's future gigs.

They are still in the process of how to use the avatars and fans should wait for further announcements in the future.
