The holidays might be the most wonderful time of the year for many people but not for Lizzo as she recently revealed a tragic loss that happened on Christmas Eve.

Unfortunately, the musician lost her beloved pet named Pooka, after she spent 18 years with the cute white dog.

Taking to her official Instagram account, the singer shared a photo of herself along with two family members. Lizzo's mom stood in the middle as she held Pooka in her arms.

"We will always love you, Pooka Diamanté Jefferson. 4•10•2005 - 12•24•2023," she wrote.

"Merry Christmas from your CE-h** and Pooka. Pooka always has on her white pet me onesie from Yitty, so go and get you one and be like Pooka. Merry Christmas y'all and happy holidays," Lizzo said in a separate video before the dog died.

In the latest update, the "Good As Hell" hitmaker shared a series of throwback photos of herself along with Pooka. In the last image, a paw imprint of the pet could be seen along with its written name.

The singer's good friend, SZA, took to the comment section to express her sympathy over what happened, as she wrote, "Wait nooo !! I'm so honored have met you."
