Zac Efron's "Iron Claw" costars left a bitter taste in his mouth because of their nonstop teasing on the set of the film.
The newest wrestling film unleashed Efron's massive transformation. Some also assumed he underwent plastic surgery because his jaw looked different from what it used to look like.
Instead of the buzz, Efron revealed the thing that affected him the most while working on the set of "Iron Claw."
Zac Efron's Costars Teased Him
Efron sat in a new interview with W Magazine where he expressed how uncomfortable he was when his "Iron Claw" costars tried to mess with him by singing "High School Musical" songs.
He played Kevin Von Erich's role in the film, while Harris Dickinson and Allen White portrayed the roles of the character's brothers.
"People like to do that to mess with me. It's pretty funny," he said. "We had a scene where we show up to a party where Stanley, I think, is singing a song. He performed it live, and then they just continued to move on to another song, and it was something from High School Musical."
He reportedly had to stay in character even when everyone else had lost it. To control himself, he put himself in his character's shoes but still felt very uncomfortable at that time.

"High School Musical" Left a Positive Impact on Zac Efron
Elsewhere in the discussion, he opened up about how the "High School Musical" films helped him play his latest movie role perfectly.
"Dancing and wrestling are surprisingly similar. There's a choreographed element to both, and the more you do it, the better you get," he said. "Also, just the sense of moving with a partner: Sometimes you lead, and sometimes you're holding on to the other guy. The learning curve for wrestling is you just go for it."
He continued, "For stuff like climbing up on the ropes and jumping off, you've just got to nut up and go for it. There's no real practicing,"
His "Iron Claw" transformation created a buzz as he debuted his muscular physique for the film. He applauded his wardrobe, hair and makeup teams for completing his portrayal.
As for his jaw area, Efron told Men's Health in 2022 that he underwent surgery and physical therapy after smacking his chin against the granite corner of a fountain.
