Paul McCartney has been in the industry of music since he was a young man. His popularity began back when he was still a member of The Beatles, but he found his way into having a successful career as a solo artist.

Today, the legendary singer, who already snagged countless awards throughout his life for his musical contributions, is 81 years old and despite his age, it appears that he will not hold back from performing and won't retire anytime soon.

Taking to his official Instagram account, the musician revealed his answer to those people who kept on asking him why he still goes on tour on a regular basis.

His answer was simple, it's because of the never-ending support from his fans. "When people ask me, 'Why do you still do it (touring)?' it's because of the crowds," he revealed.

He just got the chance to perform in Brazil again and he considered the people of the country as a "beautiful nation" because of their energy.

"When you go on stage with an audience like that, the feedback you get, it's like meeting a dear friend in the street you haven't seen for a long time. But it's that 40,000 times over," he said. (via Clutch Points)

Paul McCartney Continues to Tour

Even though The Beatles broke up, McCartney went on to further his career as a solo artist as he became successful on his own way.

In addition to his solo projects, he also established a second band called Wings, but the group didn't last long enough too.

All in all, McCartney was able to go on tour 17 times as a solo musician. Fortunately, he was able to bounce back after the gruesome pandemic as he returned with the "Got Back" tour.

Members of his touring band since 2002 are Bruan Ray, Rusty Anderson, Paul "Wix" Wickens, and Abe Laboriel Jr.

Paul McCartney Updates

According to Express UK, Paul McCartney announced back in 2019 that he was working on a stage musical adaptation of the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" and it was made possible thanks to producer Bill Kenwright.

Fans never got an update for over four years until in December 2023 where McCartney held a Q&A on his website where a fan asked about the project.

"I hope so, yeah! Musicals are difficult things to put together, but I think it may be shaping up at last. So, hopefully you'll get to hear the songs," he answered.

Despite his answer, the singer has yet to share more details about the project.
