Initially, Paramore was announced as one of ALTer EGO festival's headliners which will take place in a few days, but the group revealed that they won't push through with their appearance anymore, and this all happened amid the mysterious activities that had been happening on their social media profiles.

Taking to their official Instagram account, the band just simply wrote, "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on January 13. The band apologizes for any inconvenience."

As of this writing, the trio—Hayley Williams, Zac Farro, Taylor York—has yet to share more details why they decided to cancel their performance at the last minute.

Who Will Replace Paramore on ALTer EGO Festival?

According to Loudwire, the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO will be on January 13, 2024, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Now that the trio won't perform anymore, organizers immediately came up with a solution and revealed that Paramore will be replaced by Fall Out Boy as the new headliners.

In a statement, the band expressed their excitement, saying, "We are thrilled to join the 2024 iHeartRadio ALTer EGO lineup and celebrate our most recent album So Much (For) Stardust. We are looking forward to closing out an incredible night of music in advance of our upcoming 'So Much For (2our)Dust' US concert run."

Paramore's Mysterious Social Media Activity

It's been a week since Paramore wiped out all of their content on social media as well as their official website which only read "404 Not Found."

Although the group didn't explicitly revealed the reason why they decided to remove all of their posts, it might be due to their uncertain future as an article about them revealed that they are now "free agents" after spending some time with their record label, Atlantic Records.

Regardless, it was assured that they will still make music together as Josh Farro said that they will continue building the "Paramore empire and then rule the world."
