John Mayer might have been a womanizer in the eyes of many but the singer is still a hopeless romantic deep down.
Mayer had been in a relationship with A-listers like Katy Perry, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, and even Taylor Swift in the past.
John Mayer Wants To Be Married
Speaking to the Kelly Rizzo podcast "Comfort Food," John Mayer confessed that he's still looking for "the one" after all these years. (via People Magazine)
"People don't think I want to be married. I absolutely want to be married," he pondered on the podcast. "You know the secret, which is that I'm actually fairly well-adjusted. And I so badly want to get married if only for my wife to just know in her heart, like, 'John will know what to do.'"
According to the "You're Body Is A Wonderland" singer is that the "hottest thing in the world to him" is the "level of being relied on.
"''If my husband was here, he would know what to do. Call John. Call my husband.' You're a full grown-up when this is your romantic fantasy. You're a fully fledged grown-up," he added.
Rizzo expounded on Mayer's revelation - confirming that he has a "reliance kink."
"Your kink is that you want someone to be like, 'John's got a guy.'" she said.

John Mayer, Andy Cohen In A Relationship?
In the past, John Mayer's sexuality has sparked conversations because of his closeness with Andy Cohen.
In an interview on The Howard Stern Show, Andy Cohen finally, once and for all, pinned the topic.
"I am in love with John Mayer. We are in love with each other," he jokinglu confessed. But when asked by the radio show giant, Cohen confirmed that he and Mayer have never been "sexual" with each other.
For those who do not know, Mayer was present on many important occasions for the said host. In fact, Mayer spoke at Cohen's Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony, as well as at Cohen's baby shower and even on his 50th birthday. (via People Magazine)
Speaking to the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi in December 2022, Mayer expounded their similarities with each other.
"John Mayer is someone who is very in touch with his emotions. He very quickly in our friendship started saying, 'You know what, I gotta tell you something - I love you,'" he said in a statement.
Per Cohen, Mayer is someone who could candidly express his feelings very outright: "just this stuff that straight guys aren't necessarily supposed to say."
