The Mother Monster has returned! On Monday night, January 8, Lady Gaga posted a series of pictures to Instagram showing her posing near the microphone in a dark recording studio while wearing sunglasses, a thick black stiletto boot, and an enormous striped sweater.
She confirmed that she is working on new songs by using emojis of music notes and a black heart as the description for the photo.
Since her most recent album, 2020's "Chromatica," fans have been clamoring for new music, but the 13-time Grammy winner has been occupied over the past three years with a plethora of other endeavors that she finds deeply fulfilling.
The image of Gaga in the studio, appearing to return to her rock and roll persona, unsurprisingly caused a frenzy among the fans.
There was a lot of excitement in her comment area, especially since it appears that Ariana Grande and The Weeknd are also releasing some new music.
Another Little Monster wrote "I couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024," while a third correctly said, "Mother is cooking!"
The well-received tease is the most recent in Gaga's recent string of public appearances.
She made an unexpected cameo on the Bradley Cooper movie Maestro red carpet towards the end of the previous year, looking stunning in an embroidered Alexander McQueen suit set.
A few weeks later, she was spotted walking the streets of Los Angeles in her own brand of stealthy affluence, complete with her best Sofia Richie impression.
Since the release of her most recent studio album in 2020, Gaga has been quite busy.
After a recent rebranding, Gaga's Haus Labs beauty line went viral on TikTok.
The brand consistently releases innovative new products, ranging from glosses and vivid lip crayons to foundations and luminous cheeks, and everything in between.
The diva hinted in June that she was putting a lot of effort into a number of artistic endeavors, such as an edit for a film based on her headline tour in 2022.
"I prepared for months developing my character for Joker, I filmed [Joker: Folie à Deux] for many months (a very introspective time)," Gaga wrote in a lengthy message.
"I have been running my start-up Haus Labs, doing philanthropic work, and additionally have been working on The Chromatica Ball film edit."
Gaga has not yet provided any additional details regarding the music she is currently working on, though.
