As we usher in the new year, the anticipation for fresh music builds, and we eagerly prepare for the wave of Latin albums set to drop in 2024.

In the previous year, Latin music witnessed stellar releases from industry powerhouses like Karol G and Bad Bunny. Karol G's "Mañana Será Bonito", released in February, and its Bichota Season spin-off in August left an indelible mark. The former, featuring the Shakira-assisted hit "TQG," etched history as the first Spanish-language LP by a female artist to clinch the top spot on the Billboard 200. It further secured the coveted album of the year at the 2023 Latin Grammys, solidifying Karol G's dominance.

Not to be outdone, Bad Bunny, in his signature style, surprised fans with "Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana" in October. The trap-infused album ascended to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking his third consecutive chart-topping debut after "Un Verano Sin Ti" (for 13 non consecutive weeks in 2022) and "El Último Tour del Mundo" (one week in 2020).

The realm of Música Mexicana also thrived, with Peso Pluma's Génesis making history by debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Other notable releases, such as Natanael Cano's "Nata Montana," Carin Leon's "Colmillo de Leche," and Fuerza Regida's "Pa Las Baby's y la Belikeada," earned well-deserved spots on Billboard's "Best Latin albums of 2023" list.

Now, with 2024 in full swing, the music scene is gearing up for another exhilarating year. The lineup of anticipated Latin albums includes offerings from Bad Gyal, Blessd, Myriam Hernández, Prince Royce, Alvaro Diaz, and more in the first half of the year. The evolving list below keeps fans in the loop about the upcoming releases, promising a year filled with diverse and dynamic Latin music.
