Foo Fighters will be celebrating their 20th anniversary next year, and are hinting at "f**king cool" plans for it. Their debut self-titled album was released in 1995 and in a new interview with NME, bassist Nate Mendel says he and his bandmates will be celebrating the milestone in a "unique" way.

"We're planning on doing a pretty unique and cool idea for our 20th anniversary. It's something that'll be f**king cool - plus all of the usual things like festivals."

The Foo Fighters are set to release their follow-up to 2011's Wasting Light, Sonic Highways on November 10. As previously reported, the album is made up of eight tracks that were written during visits to eight studios in different cities across the country including Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, Nashville, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington DC, and New York. The band teamed up with notable musicians from each area during their studio visits.

Earlier this week, the band played an intimate show in the UK under the moniker "The Holy Sh*ts." The set featured rare cuts and favorites.

The band also has a documentary coming out soon with HBO called Sonic Highways that was inspired by their album and explores the landscape of American music and culture in the country's music capitals.

On top of all that, they are still on the road playing shows. Talk about keeping busy.
