• Rich Homie Quan Apologizes For Second Leaked Song About Raping Women

    Rich Homie Quan, real name Dequantes Lamar, has had a rough go of things lately and he only has himself to blame. In May a treasure trove of tracks were leaked from the Rich Gang archive, most of then unfinished demos that were never intended for release. As they spread on the Internet, unfortunately for Rich Homie Quan, two of the songs were him discussing raping women. He apologized for the first track, but after the second song, "Day 1," the "Flex" rapper was left without much moral ground to stand on. He has attempted to apologize for the second track in a new interview for Billboard, saying that he was young and had no guidance in his life at the time.

Run The Jewels were scheduled to perform as the headliner at 50 Kent, the main outdoor venue at the Northside Festival in Brooklyn, and they had a very special trick up their sleeves. The Illmatic rapper showed up as a surprise guest to perform his 'God's Son' track "Made You Look" at the end of RTJ's set and your author was on hand to capture the action on video.

    Kurt Vile has been speaking about new music for some time and now the guitarist has confirmed a new album from himself and the Violators titled b'lieve i'm goin down to be released during the Fall. A specific drop date hasn't been announced but perhaps it will come in September, before his world tour—which was also newly announced—will kick off on October 1.
