That sounds impressive but female performers have been getting their due even more so in recent years: During 2014, the Top 5 of the Hot 100 was held down by women for seven consecutive weeks. Electric Zoo 2015 Lineup Phase 1: Alesso, Above & Beyond, Chemical Brothers
New York's first major EDM festival, Electric Zoo, has announced the first wave of acts that will be heading to Randall's Island this year. E Zoo has been slowly unveiling the names a few at a time each day over the past few weeks, just like its fellow SFX festival, Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld do. ID&T, the promoters of Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld, were brought in to add their creative expertise for this year and reimagine the festival, so that makes sense. Among those who are on the first phase of artists include headliners, The Chemical Brothers, Above & Beyond and Alesso. -

It seems as though another member of One Direction is going solo... at least for a little bit of karaoke. Rudimental Announces New Album 'We The Generation:' Tracklist, Release Date Revealed
Rudimental has shared details for their upcoming artist album, 'We The Generation.' The soulful drum n' bass foursome has unveiled the colorful cover art, release date and tracklist for their sophomore LP. 'We The Generation' will be there first full-length project released since 2012's 'Home.' They have been touring extensively in the three years since and releasing remix packages and videos for the songs from the album. The album will be release at the end of the summer on September 18. -

Taylor Swift fans already know that "Bad Blood," the most recent single from Taylor Swift's 1989, has been tearing up YouTube thanks to a music video starring Kendrick Lamar, Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Ellie Goulding and a multitude of others. That sort of hype helped it grab the record for most views in a 24-hour period on VEVO, taking the prize from Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda."
