• The Prodigy Announce 10-Date UK Tour In Support Of The Day Is My Enemy

    2015 is looking like it will be a big year for UK electronic band, The Prodigy. The "Firestarter" trio revealed earlier in the month that their sixth studio album The Day Is My Enemy would be released on March 30th and the lead single "Nasty" would arrive sometime in January. In support of the album, they have announced a 10-date UK tour in May that will crisscross the island hitting Newcastle, Cardiff, Reading and end with back-to-back nights at London's legendary Alexandria Palace on May 15 and May 16.

    Generally in the Northern Hemisphere, most people want to stay inside as much as possible on New Year's Eve. But there were some brave souls who are willing to brave the cold at SnowGlobe Festival in the mountain resort town of South Lake Tahoe, California. Australian producer and DJ sensation Harley Straten, better known as Flume, one half of What So Not alongside Emoh Instead, performed the mainstage headlining set to ring in the New Year. SnowGlobe was there with their cameras to catch all the action, with Straten ushering in 2015 with his signature remix of Disclosure's "U & Me" under a dazzling display of fireworks and stage production that matched the vibe of the tune.Tucked away on the campus of Lake Tahoe Community College, right on the edge of Lake Tahoe and tucked in below the mountains, Snowglobe finds itself in a small paradise with skiing, music and picturesque natural beauty. The three-day festival took place from Dec. 29 to 31 and into the New Year. The lineup included names like the aforementioned Flume, Disclosure, Zedd, Skrillex, Phantogram, Porter Robinson live, Atmosphere, Justin Martin and many others.

Featured in the photos are Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff, Blood Orange mastermind Dev Hynes, and Haim-producer Ariel Rechtshaid.

    The new Fox television series Empire, a soap opera about the hip-hop industry created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, has just closed a deal with Snoop Dogg for an upcoming episode. The rapper will play himself in a guest starring role on Episode 11, which will air in late February or early March, The Wrap reports. The show premiered last week to positive reviews.

    Future Music Festival Australia has announced the local Australian acts who will be joining on the five-city tour around the country. Future Music Festival has already announced headliners like Avicii, Drake, 2 Chainz, The Prodigy, Robin Schulz, Kiesza, Die Antwood and Martin Garrix. Now the festival has announced the more than 200 local acts who will join the festival as well as the stages that will be hosting them. Each city will have two to four local stages designated for the local acts.
