    In a recent interview with Billboard, Bastille's Will Farquarson said that the band is working on its sophomore album here and there while on the road. Before they resumed touring this past weekend, they had spent some time in the studio back in London.

    Lance Bass has been steadily busy since the end of NSYNC 12 years ago, with that failed trek to space, an autobiography and a successful radio show Dirty Pop on Sirius XM. One thing he hasn't done, however, is record new music. Today (Jan. 20), that's all changed. Bass released his first solo (kind of) single "Walking On Air" on YouTube today.

    Attendees at the Light of Day benefit concert in Asbury Park, NJ didn't mind forking over up to $250-it was for charity after all-but that didn't mean they didn't have something unannounced to hope for on the lineup. Bruce Springsteen had made appearances at nine of the Light of Day shows, an annual event held to raise money for Parkinson's research.

    We reported, months ago it seems, that Garth Brooks was planning something huge, and that it wasn't related to his previously confirmed comeback tour. Brooks referred to the project as "the biggest thing I've ever tried to attempt." It would seem, based on the performer's announcement Monday, that the mystery project will be a pair of shows at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. We were hoping was building a Death Star, but we'll take it.

    Beck's new album "Morning Phase" is just a little over a month away, with a newly set release date o Feb. 25. As promised (and teased) last week, the prolific alt-rock singer was due to drop a new single "Blue Moon" today at 10 a.m. EST, and of course, he delivered. The folksy, acoustic-driven track debuted this morning (Jan. 20) on radio and arrived on streaming services such as Spotify soon after.
