• R. Kelly Shares 'Happy Birthday' for 48th B-Day [LISTEN]

    Today, Jan. 8, happens to be R. Kelly's 48th birthday, so in celebration the R&B legend has shared a new song, appropriately titled "Happy Birthday," which you can check out below. The track premiered on DJ MoonDawg's radio show in Kelly's native Chicago — which explains all of the annoying sounds in the beginning — and features Kelly doing some heavily Auto-Tuned singing about watching two girls make out — on his birthday, presumably — all over a pretty basic backing track. It is definitely not one of his best, but it is so ridiculous you should probably take a listen anyway. You can check out R. Kelly's "Happy Birthday" here:

    R&B legend R. Kelly has shared a cool new track titled "Back Up," featuring a guest verse from fellow Chicago native Shawnna, which you can check out here. Other than the chorus hook, the song sees Kelly taking a break from singing to try his hand at rapping, and he's not bad, but the real draw of this track is the weird production, which lays a sinister, moaning beat underneath the verses.

After the album faced a month-long delay from its original Nov. 11 release date, it seems like the R&B legend's 12th studio album will actually premiere on Dec. 10. With that day coming closer and closer, it's just about time that the album cover and full tracklisting are revealed, and Kelly did just so last night via Rolling Stone.
