    Donald Glover is one busy man. His rap project as Childish Gambino just got him two Grammy nods with Because the Internet, he is working on his third LP, he's starring in three upcoming films (The Lazarus Effect, Magic Mike XXL, and The Martian), and executive-producing/writing/starring in FX's new comedy Atlanta. In a new interview with Billboard for their "Double Threats" issue, he talked about his process, Salvador Dalí's influence on him, and his creative high.

At first, the song has some ethereal, electronic R&B production that sounds like a more accessible version of FKA Twigs, though it eventually morphs into a more energetic club track with some tinny trap beats thrown in for good measure. Childish Gambino delivers his verse with a crazed, breathless flow, dropping in references to Kanye West and even a "Chapelle's Show" sketch.     Rapper Childish Gambino already dropped a brand new mixtape today (STN MTN), but before he unleashes his new EP KAUAI upon the world (which should be coming any minute now, really), he’s hyping it up by sharing one of the tracks through SoundCloud, “The Palisades.” The Christian Rich-produced track has a funky, sunny vibe and is pretty heavy on the singing, though Gambino does drop a quick verse before the end of the track.

    Donald Glover (a.k.a. Childish Gambino) may have lost the best hip-hop video award at the VMAs on Sunday, but his week hasn't been entirely bad. Today, it was announced that Glover has been cast as the voice of Spider-Man in the upcoming season of Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors, though not as the Spider-Man you're thinking of. Instead of voicing the original Spider-Man Peter Parker, Glover will be voicing Miles Morales, a 13-year-old half-black, half-hispanic Spider-Man, who was introduced in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book series back in 2011.
