• 'RHOA' Apollo Nida Refuses to Take Responsibility for Criminal Activities, Blames Phaedra Parks for Ruined Marriage

    Fans of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" were thrilled to see the show return for a seventh season last night on Bravo. One of the biggest storylines this season will likely be Phaedra Parks dealing with the fact that her husband, Apollo Nida, has been locked up for eight years on a slew of fraud and identity theft charges. In last night's premiere, Nida claimed his mistakes were fixable and absolutely flipped on Parks for not being there to support him. Nida refuses to take responsibility for his criminal activities and selfishly blames Parks for their ruined marriage. Rather than attend Nida's sentencing date, Parks instead took the couple's two young sons and stayed at a hotel until the chaos settled. She knew her being in court was not going to change the outcome and in the meantime she did not want the media attention disrupting her children. When Parks returned to the family home a few days later, Nida went off on her for not being a good wife and standing by him no matter what.

    Carlesha Freeland-Gaither is safe and back at home in Philadelphia after a horrific ordeal that began last Sunday night, Nov. 2, when she was abducted from a Germantown street a few blocks from her apartment. The video of Freeland-Gaither being dragged, kicking and screaming down the block, went viral and probably played a huge role in investigators finding her in relatively OK shape Wednesday night, Nov. 5, in Jessup, Maryland. Delvin Barnes is currently in custody and is actually being held on an unrelated warrant for attempted capital murder. Apparently, U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents received information from Virginia that tipped them off to the notion that Barnes could be their man, and they found his vehicle late Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 4, on a road in Jessup. It had its back window kicked out, something that those who witnessed Freeland-Gaither's abduction said she had managed to do.

  • Joran van der Sloot Stabbed Twice in Peruvian Prison Where He Is Serving 28 Years for Murder

    Joran van der Sloot's name has made headlines ever since he was tagged as the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway. She disappeared from a graduation trip to Aruba and the last person Holloway was seen with was van der Sloot. At the time his father was a sitting local judge and van der Sloot slipped through the legal cracks because of it. He is currently serving a 28-year sentence for the murder of Stephany Flores in 2010. Van der Sloot was recently transferred to a Peruvian prison was he was reportedly stabbed twice and left quite possibly in critical condition, according to Reuters. According to CNN, van der Sloot's new wife, Leidy Figueroa, claims her husband was stabbed twice: once in the shoulder and once in the waist. Both injuries are reportedly 2 centimeters — or 0.8 inches — deep, leaving him in pretty bad shape.

    It seems that not a day goes by without some sort of crazy news connected to Teresa Giudice. In fact, just the other day she had filed with the court requesting that she be sent to a halfway house to serve her 15-month sentence rather than a federal prison. Apparently, Giudice believed that since she was a mother the court would take pity on her and allow her to serve at a halfway house so she could leave on weekends to be with her kids. Giudice's legal crisis manager, Wendy Felderman, quit on the spot because her client went over her head to make this request — one she felt unraveled all the groundwork that had already been laid. Giudice then received word that she will be serving her sentence in Danbury, Connecticut. FCI Danbury is the prison camp the hit Netflix series Orange Is the New Black is based on, and Guidice is being sent there is semi-miraculous. The camp is in the process of transitioning over to a mens-only facility, something that prompted many to speculate that she would instead be sent to a facility down South instead.

    University of Virginia student Hannah Graham was first reported missing five weeks ago, and over the weekend a significant finding turned this open case into a death investigation. Sgt. Dale Terry of the Chesterfield Sheriff's Department was with a small search team ready to call it a day when they made a gruesome discovery. Behind an abandoned home nearly 8 miles from where Graham was last seen, Terry and his team discovered a skull and bones scattered across a creek bed with a pair of black pants nearby. While it will take forensic testing to be certain whether these are the remains of Graham, a continued search for her has been called off. Investigators are also working to tie Jesse Matthew to several crimes.
