  • Bruce Springsteen, Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean playing March Madness Festival: Whose 'team' will win?

Jason Aldean wasn't satisfied just playing professional baseball stadiums during 2014. Now he, as well as even bigger names Bruce Springsteen and Tim McGraw, will take part in the NCAA's March Madness Music Festival at Reunion Park in Dallas, which will take place April 4 through 6. Aldean will play at the "AT&T Block Party" on April 4, McGraw will take the "Coke Zero Countdown Concert" on April 5, and Springsteen and the E Street Band will play April 6 as part of the "Capital One Jam Fest."

  • Jason Aldean announces what MLB stadiums he'll play; Music Times was wrong about all of them

We at Music Times may not always be right, but we're willing to acknowledge (and be publicly humiliated) when we're wrong. Last week, we came up with a list of five MLB parks that were likely candidates to host Jason Aldean when he embarked on his 2014 "Burn It Down" tour. All five of our suggestions turned out to be incorrect.
  • Jason Aldean announces tour with baseball stadium plans; Music Times chooses the best bet stadiums for a show

Jason Aldean recently dropped plans for his 2014 headlining tour, and it's going to be a big one. The performer was on Good Morning America when he announced a run that would include nearly 50 dates, and a baseball theme to boot. The country star played stadium shows at Chicago's Wrigley Field and Boston's Fenway Park (as well as the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium) during 2013, and through a deal with Major League Baseball, Aldean plans on doing more of the same during 2013.

George Strait may have just won Entertainer of The Year at the Country Music Association Awards, but that hasn't swayed his decision to call it a day at the end of his 2014 tour. The June 7, 2014 date at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX had been previously announced as the final date on "The Cowboy Rides Away" tour, but we all knew that it would have to be a blowout of the epic variety. Strait and his team have come through, assembling an all-star supporting cast for his final show.
  • CMT Names Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Three Others 'Artist of The Year.' Read Who and Help Us Narrow It Down

One problem with country music is that it doesn't deal with sparring very well. Nearly everything vaguely resembling a competition gets watered down so neither side looks bad. The genre's media was left in a bind following the war of words between Zac Brown followers and Luke Bryan followers after the former artist blasted the music of the latter. In the end, CMT and others did they're best not to make anyone look bad. So, it's not entirely surprising that five different performers will share this year's CMT Artist of The Year Award.
