Kanye West is being sued for the sample in "Bound 2." The man behind the sample, Ricky Spicer, was once the Ponderosa Twins Plus One singer and apparently had no idea his voice was being used on the Yezzus track. Once he heard it, he asked West to compensate him for using his voice or to cease and desist, according to the New York Daily News. -

Last night Drake and Kanye West hit a Yeezus afterparty together, where they rapped to each other's songs. In a recent interview with People (via Consequence of Sound), President Obama was asked if he'd rather "hang out" with the Duck Dynasty cast or Kimye, following the recent Duck Dynasty drama. Ryan Book's Playlist of 2013: Lorde, Kanye, and Kvelertak
Music Times, like so many other music publications, was looking to publish a "Best of 2013" playlist. We met to discuss what such a playlist should include, and that's where we ran into trouble. We couldn't agree. Sometimes two of us just couldn't agree on whether the performer was amazing or terrible, and even when we agreed they were amazing, we couldn't agree on what track was most representative of their work. Hence it was decided that rather than try to agree (a seemingly impossible endeavor), everyone would get their own "favorites of 2013" playlist. We won't argue that these are neccesarily the best tracks of the last year, but they're definitely songs that caught our respective attention and caused us to hit 'repeat" over and over and over again -
Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes drop free mixtape, 'The Abstract and the Dragon' [LISTEN]
Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip have teamed up to release a free mixtape. According to Rolling Stone, the new release The Abstract and the Dragon "brings together collaborative tracks recorded throughout the two decades of friendship between the two rappers."
